No paid Places API is called. ZIP/postal-code origin lookup remains pending for any code without a reviewed Census ZCTA record.

A 5-digit ZIP resolves only when an exact reviewed Census ZCTA record is present in Lohabook's normalized origin dataset. Unsupported codes fail closed; Lohabook does not substitute a store ZIP, guessed centroid, or paid geocoder result.
Explicit nearby service is available
The browser may ask for location only after the user presses “Find service near me.” A permitted coordinate remains transient in page memory, is used only for local distance filtering, and is not stored by default.
Map loads only on request
“View on map” loads OpenStreetMap for the selected verified service-center coordinate only. The visitor's precise coordinate is never included in that map request, and paid Places remains an optional fallback rather than the default query path.
