Valve specifies a 7.4-inch HDR OLED display at 1280×800, up to 90 Hz, with up to 1,000 nits peak brightness for HDR and 600 nits for SDR. Those are display capabilities. They do not prove that a demanding game renders at 90 frames per second or sustains peak HDR brightness across every scene.
GAME PERFORMANCERefresh rate and rendered frame rate are different measurements.
A 90 Hz panel can present frames more frequently when the software can supply them, but CPU/GPU load, graphics settings, resolution, frame caps, game engine behavior and thermal or power limits determine actual performance. Lohabook therefore does not translate “90 Hz” into “90 fps gaming.”
HDRPeak brightness is not an always-on full-screen level.
Valve’s 1,000-nit figure is an HDR peak specification, while the separately published SDR maximum is 600 nits. Research should keep peak/highlight capability distinct from sustained whole-screen brightness and from the brightness a person chooses for battery life or comfort.
512GB VS 1TBEtched anti-glare glass belongs to the 1TB OLED configuration.
The OLED family shares the 7.4-inch panel size and 90 Hz capability, but Valve specifically lists premium anti-glare etched glass on the 1TB model. A 512GB worked example should not inherit that 1TB-only display treatment.
